WVIK's on-air signal is available as a Shoutcast MP3 Stream, encoded at either 24K Mono or 56K Stereo. Click the appropriate link and your default MP3 audio player should begin playing the WVIK stream.

If Windows Media Player has problems connecting, make sure you're using Windows Media Player 10. If not, you can download it here. In Windows Media Player 10, go to Tools > Options > File Types, select "MP3 Audio File (mp3)" from the list, and click "Apply". Note: Windows Media Player for Mac will not play mp3 streams.

How to connect manually:

Enter the URL directly into your audio player.
Windows Media Player and others, allow you to enter a URL in a menu item called Open URL, Open Location, or something similar. For Windows Media Player, enter http://143.226.67.217:8080 (or port 8000 for 56K) or, for some other players, simply 143.226.67.217:8080 (or port 8000 for 56K) .

Save the URL in your favorites to re-connect without having to enter it again.

Audio Players:

For Windows:
Windows Media Player 10 works, as will iTunes, and countless other mp3 streaming audio players, including WinAmp, the same program used to encode the stream. RealPlayer will usually work, but with somewhat inconsistant results.

For Macintosh:
Apple's iTunes is an obvious choice, but Quicktime Player will also work. Audion is still available, but no longer being developed. RealPlayer works, but with somewhat inconsistant results.

MP3 players and their capabilities differ widely, as do the strengths and limitations of individual computers, and the quality and bandwidth of internet connections. Which is to say: your results may vary.
